“White skin, white skin!”

During my visit to ASAP supported preschools in May, the little fellow was pointing to me with a curious smile and repeating something. I smiled back and nodded. When a teacher translated his words (from one of the 10 national languages) into English, it turns out he was saying, “White skin! White skin!” The communities we serve are so segregated many preschoolers have never seen a person with white skin before.
